WVU football stand-out Major Harris will be at Guys Night Out autographing memorabilia. Harris is widely considered one of the three greatest quarterbacks ever to play at WVU. During his college career in the late 1980s, he set a WVU record with 7,334 total yards and became the first of just a handful of quarterbacks in Division I history to pass for more than 5,000 yards and rush for more than 2,000 yards in a career.
Guys Night Out will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, at the McJunkin Redman Headquarters, 835 Hillcrest Drive in Charleston.
Founded by Paul Buechler and Jeff Sandridge in 2006, Guys Night Out is an annual fundraising event centered around a WVU football game organized by a committee of all male volunteers. This year's opponent is the Oklahoma Sooners.
Watch the WVU game on big screen TVs under a huge tent. Ice cold beer and a cigar is included with admission as well as fresh, roasted pork BBQ with all the sides. The Best Wings in the Valley contest will be featured at halftime, along with live memorabilia auctions and prize drawings.
All proceeds benefit homeless women and families at the YWCA Sojourner's Shelter.
